Join Space Coast Audubon members Deborah Longman-Marien and Rochelle for a tour of the Viera wetlands (Rich Grissom Memorial Wetlands). This is perfect location for kids from 2 to 92 to get your introduction to birding. The wetlands contain a variety of waterfowl, which is a great group of birds to learn and enjoy. They are colorful, fairly large, and tend to stay in one place, which makes for easy viewing and identification. This field trip will be a combination of driving and easy walking. We recommend closed toe shoes, sunscreen and insect repellent. Bring binoculars if you have them, but if not we will have telescopes and can share binoculars.
Email [email protected] if you have questions. Deborah and Rochelle will be in the parking lot adjacent to the wetlands. They will give you a short introduction to birding identification.
