Join us for a fun morning of birding at one of Brevard County’ s finest outdoor sanctuaries, the Enchanted Forest. Matt Heyden and Lora Losi will host this event which is both birding and an interpretive nature walk. One of SCAS board of directors, Joe Swingle, who is a naturalist at the Enchanted Forest, will lead the nature walk. We should see a variety of birds and other wildlife as the sanctuary has several types of habitats. The Enchanted Forest trails are mostly level dirt roads and pathways. The distance is approx 1-2 miles. We recommend that you wear long pants and closed toe shoes. Bring bug spray and binoculars. The event lasts about 2 and ½ hours. Look for Matt and Lora near the front entrance of the main building. We will have a picnic at the Forest after the event so be sure to bring your lunch.
