Oct 6 “Big Day” Field Trip Report

32 Birders joined David for the October Big Day.

At the first location, Malabar Scrub, we spotted 18 species.  Unfortunately, the group got caught in a rain storm but still birded on. The second location, Turkey Creek had 22 species. See the bird lists below.

The feature photo for this trip report is the beautiful Red Shouldered Hawk captured by Kit at Malabar Scrub. Both bird lists are courtesy of David Simpson.

The final stop, the Broken Barrel Tavern, for wings and birder chat was a big hit!

Thanks to Rochelle for logistics and David for leading the trip.  A good time was had by all!
