We had quite a day of birding today. 10 birders saw 60 species at Black Point Wildlife Drive and 20 species at the Visitor Center. Val and I also saw 11 species at Parrish Park Causeway and 32 species at Jetty Park (no Swainson’s Warbler and need to review the photos to see if we got the Bahama Mockingbird that was high in a tree).

We had 18 birders exploring parts of Tosohatchee WMA on April 30th and we saw/heard 21 birds listed below. Jim Stahl pointed out lots of different wildflowers and other plants. We also saw a beautiful American Lady Butterfly, Southern Skipperling, Oak Toads and insects including a few Millipedes.

We did see many squirrels, worked on our ID by sound and those that were there at the very end saw a gopher tortoise fight in the parking lot.
