Hundred Acre Hollow Field Trip

February 4, 2018 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Free

Space Coast Audubon Society and Hundred Acre Hollows (HAH) will join forces to host a birding field trip and nature hike. David Simpson, Florida birding expert, will lead a hike around the basins and property for bird identification. We will also have Florida native plant specialists and Florida Master Naturalists on hand to share information about many elements of nature that can be found on this special piece of land. This trip is planned close to dusk to experience birds coming into roost and for potential sightings of other creatures who call HAH home. In addition to birds, there also also residents and visitors which include a bobcat (spotted by our group on our recon trip), gopher tortoises, raccoons and snakes. Junior birders and young nature enthusiasts are welcome to attend and will receive special activity cards to locate animals while exploring.
