Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge Field Trip

Jim Stahl, Space Coast Audubon member and retired biologist, will lead a field trip to the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge on Sunday, Jan 14, 2018. In the winter months, waterfowl are at their peak; we should easily see wintering shorebirds and gulls, and the numerous wading birds. Often times there’s a rarity or two to be found. Bring binoculars, water, and a packed lunch for a picnic.  This is a driving field trip with frequent stops for short walks.
