Three Lakes WMA and Joe Overstreet Landing Trip Report – April 7, 2018

Tom led our group of 16 birders to a sunrise start at Three Lakes WMA on a mild Saturday morning.  We arrived a little later than planned which diminished our changes to see the Red Cockaded Woodpecker but we did see 53 species including a Blue-headed Vireo and a Bobwhite.

After leaving 3 Lakes, we drove to Joe Overstreet Landing for great looks at Snail Kites, Redheaded Woodpeckers and Cara Caras. We picked up 29 species at this location.
