Courtesy Post: Seafood for Our Shorelines (Dining with a Purpose)

Join us for an evening of Dining with a Purpose while enjoying camaraderie with fellow nature enthusiasts. Dixie Crossroads will donate 10% for all food purchases to help MIWA enable the mission of the Merritt Island NWR to protect habitat for critical shoreline species. The Refuge dining room will be reserved for our group. Guests are welcome to join us in the party room or dine on their own. Dine anytime between 5 to 8pm.

Please let your server know you are dining to support Merritt Island Wildlife Association or write MIWA on the back of your itemized receipt.
Educational exhibits about sandy beach shorelines will be displayed around the Refuge dining room. The Merritt Island NWR is home to one of the most significant sandy beach shorelines in Florida. Estuarian shorelines host a diverse array of living organisms. This habitat is home to aquatic plants, freshwater fish nurseries, frogs, toads, clams, horseshoe crabs, and wading birds. Have a bite and check out the displays to learn more about this unique ecosystem.
