**Spring Migration Workshop and Field Practice**
Join us to celebrate, explore and learn about Spring bird migration. Dee Fairbanks Simpson and David Simpson, owners of Birding with David Simpson are local, professional bird guides and nature content creators. Dee and David will share how weather affects bird migration, the best birding spots in Brevard and Indian River Counties, suggested resources on how to forecast where migrating birds will be seen, and expert identification tips.

The program will be comprised of an inside presentation for 1 hour and 15 minutes, with audience Q&A, followed by a hike around the property to look for migrating birds. The guides and hosts will have Warbler Identification guides, Florida birding field id books, and birding APP’s to reference as resources during the hike.

Program: 0900 – 1015 (Inside the Rotary Park Nature Center)
Hike: 1030 – 1130 (on the trails and boardwalk near the Nature Center)

What to Bring/Wear: sun protection, water, refillable water bottle, bug repellent, snack, binoculars (we have a few loaner pairs, but a note in the Event comments to request to borrow binoculars). Close toes shoes are recommended. Rain gear, as needed.
