Twenty-four birders traveled on 3 golf carts to see a plethora of birds in the wetlands. Highlights of the day were over 100 roseate spoonbills roosting in a cypress dome, an eagle on a nest and the highlight of the day for many birders — an uncommon sedge wren. A total of 61 species were seen.
